On the 26th of October, the Tokyo Motor Show kicked off with a roar . Some of the highlights included the Lancer EVO X and the highly anticipated Nissan GT-R. Manufacturers also introduced a handful of concept cars that can only be described as "unique." Here are my picks for the 10 Wackiest Concept Cars from the Tokyo Motor Show:

If you wanted a super-slick, futuristic vehicle that could propel you at speeds of 150MPH, what do you think you'd power it with? Rocket fuel? Regular gas, perhaps? How about steam? Yeah, steam
This crazy vehicle is an entry in the British Steam Car Challenge, and it's powered by four boilers that'll give juice to the steamliner's turbine engine with some serious steam pressure. I never even knew steam could power a modern car, let alone one that could move alone at speeds as high as 200MPH on the Utah salt flats. I'm not sure where you'd fill this thing up or how efficient it is, so it's probably not quite practical for bringing the kids to soccer practice, but damn if it isn't a sweet piece of machinery. — Adam Frucci

Nissan 350Z

After a three year absence, the Z returned in 2003 to great acclaim. Richard's page is closing in on half a million hits. Tad is stationed in Germany and cruises his Z on the Autobahn. Nothing has been left untouched on Gina's Z (below). Traland's car is very wide and very orange. Rob's car was the top rated 350Z when I wrote this post. Ryan has been steadily improving his 04 Track Edition. This Z was Fine Tuned. Tolga-Onur's car won SOTW last year. This roadster got Lambo doors. And Juan's car underwent an AWD conversion.
So that's it for this week's WOTW. What should we do next? And who wants to write the next one?

A 350Z so fast it will make you barf

Sick isn't even the word. This crazy 1750 hp Nissan 350Z is from Performance Motorsport and is reported to be the fastest 350Z on the planet with a 6.9 second quarter mile time. Remarks Eric in his e-mail, "note that, like other recent turbo drag efforts, the chassis was basically built around the turbo plumbing instead of the other way around."

Volkswagon ? crazy car

Today, "custom" is often synonimous with a definitely no-no as far as VW style is concerned! Well, in most cases and especially here in Europe, early customized bugs couldn't qualify as a respectable style... But, in the US, some of them were very cool, especially those who undertook a mild treatment. A bit of history here.
